What are the general characteristics of automotive LCD displays? automotive LCD displays are also known as liquid crystal displays. The English abbreviation of automotive LCD is Liquid Crystal Display, which is a type of flat panel display. The automotive LCD display uses a liquid crystal solution of two polarizing materials. When an electric current is passed through the liquid, the crystals rearrange for imaging purposes.

The main features of the automotive LCD display are as follows:

  1. The resolution of the automotive LCD display can be very high, and the PPI (pixels per inch) of a general mobile phone can reach more than 300.

  2. Automotive LCD has more gray levels and can display a wider range of colors.

  3. High display quality: Since every point of the LCD screen maintains that color and brightness after receiving a signal, it emits constant light, unlike cathode ray tube displays (CRT) that need to constantly refresh bright spots. Therefore, the LCD display has a high image quality and never flickers, minimizing eye strain.

  4. No electromagnetic radiation: The display material of the traditional display screen is phosphor powder, which is displayed by hitting the phosphor powder with electron beams. The moment the electron beam hits the phosphor powder will generate strong electromagnetic radiation. Although many display products have effectively dealt with the radiation problem to reduce the amount of radiation as much as possible, it is difficult to eliminate it. Relatively speaking, LCD screens have inherent advantages in radiation protection, because there is no radiation at all. In terms of preventing electromagnetic waves, LCD screens also have their unique advantages. It adopts strict sealing technology to seal a small number of electromagnetic waves from the driving circuit in the automotive dual screen parts. To dissipate heat, the ordinary display must be kept as much as possible. The circuit is in contact with the air, so the electromagnetic waves generated by the internal circuit can "leak" to the outside in large quantities.
